The distinctive glassware made by hand at La Verrerie de Biot (The Biot Glassworks) is found on the best tables everywhere in the south of France. It is immediately recognizable from the hundreds of tiny bubbles trapped between two layers of solid glass. Located five miles northwest of Antibes, the glassworks was founded nearly 60 years ago. The opportunity to watch the glassblowers at work and also to buy a full range of their products makes this a fascinating stop and an ideal place to find presents and souvenirs.
