Stone Barns Center, New York

The Stone Barns Center for Food & Agriculture is another wonderful legacy of the Rockefeller presence in the Hudson Valley.

The lovely buildings were originally part of the Rockefeller farm and are now the heart of an organization that promotes education on food and programs in sustainable agriculture. - Photo by Hideaway Report editor

Entering the inner courtyard at the center, I had to admire the graceful architecture, an impressive fusion of form and function.

I particularly enjoyed perusing the Dooryard Garden adjacent to the barns. Ingredients such as herbs that cooks rely on daily fill the well-tended beds. - Photo by Hideaway Report editor
