Readers' Choice 2015: Top 20 Spa Resorts

Andrew Harper subscribers voted Acqualina and Calistoga Ranch as the most popular two resorts on this list, rankings which are all the more impressive considering that Acqualina was also voted the most popular Beach and Family resort, and Calistoga Ranch placed among the top five U.S. Hideaways as well as the top five Food and Wine Resorts. No European properties made the 2014 list, but this year two appear. I suspect this development has less to do with improvements in the quality of the Continent’s spas and more to do with the strength of the U.S. dollar, which encouraged more Americans to vacation in Europe.
