Amanresorts Sold Back to Founder Adrian Zecha

According to Reuters, the Indian property conglomerate DLF will sell the Amanresorts resort chain back to its founder, Adrian Zecha, for roughly $300 million. The deal does not include the Aman property in New Delhi and is expected to be completed by the end of February. Previous potential buyers reportedly included Qatar Investment Authority, LVMH, Blackstone Group and Starwood Capital. DLF bought a controlling stake in the company in November 2007 for $400 million. Amanresorts currently operates 22 properties across 12 countries.
