With destinations ranging from Ireland to New Zealand, it appears that this group of travelers is looking for adventure and the great outdoors. Here is the second post in our series about where Andrew Harper's well-traveled staff is heading on vacation this year.
Who: Kim, Client Relations
Why: I'm Irish and desire to visit the place of my heritage. Ballyfin Demesne, my eyes are on you. New Zealand — I would like to visit the North and South islands. I am looking forward to seeing coastal and mountain scenery from The Lodge at Kauri Cliffs; The Farm at Cape Kidnappers; and Huka Lodge. London — I must visit the Highclere Castle in Newbury. Fingers crossed, it will be a family trip to London.
Who: Lorelei, COO
Why: It has been three years since my knee surgery, so I hope I can ski still! And I have always just wanted to visit Berlin and Copenhagen. Australia, I want to go back and stay a little longer this time to explore some areas like Melbourne.
Who: Robert, VP Research
Why: With two young daughters, I want a family-friendly place where we can enjoy the beach, snorkeling, kayaking and exploring. So many places to choose from, so not sure yet where we will go, I just know it will be the beach.
Who: David, Senior Art Director
Why: I love both cities' rich history of art, architecture and design that has endured and flourished to make each a focus of all things modern as well. The Conservatorium hotel or The Athenaeum would be my first choice for accommodations. Please don't make me choose between London's vibrant musical culture and diverse cuisine and Amsterdam's museums and legacy of avant-garde graphic design (my passion!).
Who: Helen, Client Relations
Why: I'm heading to Cabo for my son’s wedding in May! And I have always wanted to visit the beautiful Lake Como area, and now a friend’s son is getting married there in September. I hope to stay at Grand Hotel Tremezzo and at least have a drink at Villa d'Este!
