Not long ago, China’s capital offered only a modest selection of upscale hotels. Times have changed. After a recent $123 million renovation, The Peninsula Beijing is effectively a new hotel. And on September 27, the Bulgari Hotel Beijing will debut in the Embassy District, close to the dining and fashion quarter of Sanlitun, surrounded by a lush private park sloping down to the banks of the Liangma River, designed by the renowned landscape architect Enzo Enea.
The 119 rooms and suites will be complemented by a 16,000-square-foot spa with an 82-foot pool, and a gourmet Italian restaurant (complete with Murano glass chandeliers) overseen by Michelin-starred chef Niko Romito. The hotel is located adjacent to the Genesis Beijing cultural center.
