Favorite Editor Photos of 2017

As the Andrew Harper photo editor, I get to travel — virtually — every day as I scan through each image our editors submit after their travels. And travel they do. In 2017, our team flew a collective 125,000 miles to 16 different countries, and I looked through over 7,800 photos for use in The Hideaway Report and on AndrewHarper.com. With each issue I have favorites — the ones that stand out in my mind’s eye. Whether it’s an exterior shot of a building turned more interesting by a bicyclist riding by or the natural simplicity of a breathtaking view, these images speak volumes about the incredible places our editors have visited. As I look back at the year, it’s challenging to choose my absolute favorites, but here are 13 that impressed me immediately.

A bicyclist zooming past Los Tres Gallos in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, made what would normally be a routine exterior shot into our favorite image of the Cabo trip.
