Lucy

Bardessono, Napa Valley, California

Re-opened in 2012, Lucy delivers exquisite New American–style dishes from a menu that’s divided into three distinct sections: garden, ocean and range. By sourcing the freshest and best ingredients from local farmers, ranchers, fishmongers and foragers, as well as an expansive onsite garden, the menu will please even the most discerning gourmand. “When you have amazing products year round to work with, and a great team to help create innovative dishes and serve them in an incredible setting, it creates the best recipe ever,” says Chef Victor Scargle.

On the Menu: “Year round it would be our liberty duck breast in its seasonal preparation. The balance of flavors is awesome.”

At Home: “Usually something simple. [In the] summertime we’ll lightly grill some zephyr squash and corn with a steak or lamb shoulder. In winter, it’s short ribs, turnips, kale. Hearty comfort food.”
