Mandarin Oriental recently announced that its new hotel in Pudong, Shanghai will open on June 1. Located on the east bank of the Huangpu River, amid the skyline of the Lujiazui financial district, the property will have 362 guest rooms and 210 fully serviced executive apartments.
The hotel is located in Harbour City, a new 75-acre mixed-use development comprising office towers, residences, high-end retail establishments and landscaped gardens.
The hotel’s 318 guestrooms and 44 suites, designed by architect Bernardo Fort-Brescia, will have sweeping views over the Huangpu River, the Bund and the Shanghai skyline. The property will also feature the most extensive collection of Chinese contemporary art in the city.
