Hørsholm, Denmark
Kokkedal Slot Copenhagen is a gracious 62-room hotel located on the scenic eastern shore of the island of Zealand, 35 minutes to the north of Copenhagen. Common spaces include a large lounge with Bohemian crystal chandeliers and gilded mirrors, a restaurant and a cozy bar with a fine selection of aquavit.
Hørve, Denmark
Dragsholm Slot is a gastronomic retreat on the island of Zealand’s Odsherred. Thirty-four lodgings are divided among the main U-shaped 13th-century hilltop castle (one of the oldest buildings in Denmark) and an annex (which should be avoided). Most of the attractively furnished accommodations feature garden views, four-poster Hästens beds and well-designed baths (shower only).
Skagen, Denmark
Ruths Hotel is a friendly hotel in a white-painted cottage with a terra-cotta tile roof, three miles outside the pretty village of Gl. Skagen. Common areas include a spacious main lounge, bar and library. The rooms, suites and one- and two-bedroom apartments contained within four separate houses feature a classic Danish interior design.
Henne, Denmark
Henne Kirkeby Kro is a delightful 12-room hotel in a redbrick house with a thatched roof dating to 1790 in a pastoral setting on the western coast of Jutland. Rooms are divided among three buildings: the original inn, the Jægerhuset (The Hunting Lodge) and the Staldgården (The Stable). All have sleek, modern décor and are furnished with comfortable Hästens beds.
Copenhagen, Denmark
The elegant Hotel d'Angleterre is in a renovated 270-year-old neoclassical building located on Kongens Nytorv, steps from the fashionable Strøget shopping street and the Royal Danish Theatre. Ninety rooms, some with private balconies, combine modern touches and technology with refined traditional décor.
