Kokkedal Slot Copenhagen is a gracious 62-room hotel located on the scenic eastern shore of the island of Zealand, 35 minutes to the north of Copenhagen. Common spaces include a large lounge with Bohemian crystal chandeliers and gilded mirrors, a restaurant and a cozy bar with a fine selection of aquavit.

Dragsholm Slot is a gastronomic retreat on the island of Zealand’s Odsherred. Thirty-four lodgings are divided among the main U-shaped 13th-century hilltop castle (one of the oldest buildings in Denmark) and an annex (which should be avoided). Most of the attractively furnished accommodations feature garden views, four-poster Hästens beds and well-designed baths (shower only).

Henne Kirkeby Kro is a delightful 12-room hotel in a redbrick house with a thatched roof dating to 1790 in a pastoral setting on the western coast of Jutland.
