San Diego's Rancho Valencia Resort & Spa reopened last month following an extensive $30 million, 10-month renovation. Offering 49 guest casitas spread across 45 acres, the Mediterranean-inspired all-suite property made significant enhancements to its guest rooms, public spaces, dining venues and health and wellness facilities. The resort’s guest rooms, which average 1,000 square feet, feature new custom-made furnishings, as well as high-beam roofs, walk-in closets, spacious baths with deep soaking tubs, expansive living spaces and private patios with fireplaces and whirlpools.

Notable changes were also made to the resort’s new signature restaurant Veladora and adjacent Pony Room bar, including Old World furnishings, enlarged windows and alfresco dining options. In addition to the resurfacing of all 18 on-property tennis courts, the Spa at Rancho Valencia and fitness center were expanded with a new lineup of fitness classes, spa treatments and wellness programs.
