Led by renowned interior designer Jose Manuel Martinez Marquez, the renovation included the addition of 18 adjoining suites created from existing accommodations to more comfortably accommodate visiting families or larger groups. The resort’s three dining venues, gym and kids' club were also extensively redesigned. The property is offering two special packages in honor of the upcoming Mayan New Year on December 21, 2012.
