The OHL Classic at Mayakoba, Mexico's only PGA TOUR event, is taking place this November 11-17 on the El Camaleón Golf Club course located in the Riviera Maya's Mayakoba resort complex. The tournament will feature 132 professional golfers participating in four rounds of stroke play competition on a Greg Norman-designed, 7,000-yard 18-hole championship course. Touting a $6 million purse, the largest of any professional tournament in Latin America, the OHL Classic at Mayakoba made history in 2007 when it became the first PGA TOUR event contested outside the United States and Canada. Rookie John Huh claimed the title in 2012, and is currently the defending champion. Other past champions include: Fred Funk (2007), Brian Gay (2008), Mark Wilson (2009), Cameron Beckman (2010) and Johnson Wagner (2011).
The Andrew Harper-recommended Rosewood Mayakoba makes an ideal base from which to enjoy the tournament.
