The Resort at Paws Up Opens an Island Retreat

Long a favorite of Hideaway Report readers, The Resort at Paws Up, a 37,000-acre working cattle ranch, located 32 miles east of Missoula in Montana’s Blackfoot Valley, offers a range of luxury log cabins plus glamping in safari-style tents (May through September).

This year has seen the debut of Island Lodge at Salmon Lake, situated a 15-minute drive from the main resort, a center for summer activities including fishing, kayaking, paddleboarding, sailing, wakeboarding and water skiing. As well as a staff of adventure guides, the lodge has its own chef and “island butler.” The island can be rented for exclusive use.
