The sixth installment in our Staff Travel Wish List reveals a longing for warmer climates, near and far. From a deep desire to see wildlife in its own "world" to the warm pull of a family visit to Southern California, read on for details of this set of travel wish lists.
Who: Susan, Travel Consultant
Why: I am hoping to travel to Southern California in 2014. My son is stationed at the naval base on Coronado Island and so it would allow me a perfect opportunity to see him and visit some of our most popular Andrew Harper hotels. Rancho Valencia and The Lodge at Torrey Pines are all on my list of properties I would love to experience. I also hope to include a visit to The Resort at Pelican Hill in Newport Beach. There is so much to see and do in these areas, and San Diego is an area I have yet to visit.
Who: Bonnie, Travel Manager
Why: I have been selling this destination for so many years and have always wanted to go there. Since I came to Andrew Harper and was promoted to team leader of the Europe team most of my time has been spent going to European destinations. These two countries intrigue me because they are so diverse and have so much to offer from culture, history, beautiful scenery, activities, lodges, food and wine! Can't wait to get there!
Who: Anne, Associate Director of Training & Development
Why: There are so many places to visit in Africa, but to start, I would say East Africa (Kenya/Tanzania). I can't imagine anything more spectacular or humbling than to experience the true power and beauty of wildlife in its own "world." Seeing the Big Five and the wildebeest/zebra migration are tops on my list. Ngorongoro Crater Lodge has been a lodge I have wanted to stay at for years now, and I would also love to stay at Giraffe Manor for a close-up with the giraffes!
