Insider Tip: I have been to Rome in both November and July, and, if you can go in the off-season, there are fewer crowds.

Overall Impressions: Rome is a great city.

You can't stop thinking about: Porto Cesareo in Puglia – great beaches!

Favorite Sightseeing: Unless your are a history major, I would suggest getting a guide for the Colosseum and Vatican tours. Also the Scavi tour is very interesting. Our guide from Absolute Italy was very good.

What to eat or drink: Traditional Roman dishes: Cacio e Pepe and Bucatini all'Amatriciana.

What to Pack: Comfortable walking shoes. If you do not want to stand out as a tourist, do not wear white gyms shoes.
