One of our seasoned travel advisors recently took an extraordinary 11-day trip through India. While there, she enjoyed stays at Harper-recommended hotels, including Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai, Oberoi Udaivilas in Udaipur, Oberoi Rajvilās in Jaipur and The Oberoi Amarvilas in Agra. When asked her overall impressions of the trip, she replied, "India is truly incredible." Learn about her favorite dishes, sightseeing and packing tips in the trip report below.

Favorite moment: Visiting the Taj Mahal at sunrise and sunset. Both were beautiful.

You can't stop thinking about: The great Indian food, even if it was a bit Americanized to accommodate our less spicy palate. And the traffic - cows, camels, tuk tuks, trucks, dogs, bikes, water buffalo and cars all in the same place!

Favorite dishes: Biryani and Palak Paneer are among two of my favorites.

Favorite sightseeing: The palace in Udaipur and the Taj Mahal are top on my list!

Neighborhood to explore: Old Jaipur (The Pink City). There is so much to see and do and so many stores.

Brought back/souvenir: Jewelry!

What to pack: Cool cotton shirts and pants. A hat is a necessity, and a sun umbrella helps too.
