Destination Information

The 10th-century city of Waterford is the most ancient in Ireland and contains its oldest civic building, Reginald’s Tower, a remnant of Viking occupation. Waterford has been known for its refined crystal glassware since 1783. In January 2009, the Waterford headquarters closed because of bankruptcy. It reopened, however, and in June 2010, relocated to its original home on The Mall. The facility contains a factory and a retail store. County Kilkenny is the medieval center of Ireland, with a 12th-century castle; County Wicklow is known as “the Garden of Ireland”; and County Wexford is famed for its long, sandy beaches and pretty fishing ports.
