This stately colonial-style hotel is set in a comparatively tranquil South Beach location. In contrast to its colorful art deco neighbors, the hotel is a unique example of “Florida Georgian” architecture on Ocean Drive. Bright and quiet Classic Suites and Royal Suites are recommended. The 58-room Colonial Wing has an excellent restaurant, LT Steak & Seafood, and a casual bar near the lobby for lighter fare. Located in the back of the hotel, The Alley serves Neapolitan-style pizza in a modern trattoria. The Art Deco Wing includes two four-story structures comprising event spaces, 70 rooms (30 with balconies), a library-lounge and an ocean-view rooftop pool. Two additional rooms are reserved exclusively for writers pursuing literary endeavors. Amenities include a small courtyard pool, a gym, a well-stocked library available for guests 24 hours a day and a Wellness Garden offering spa treatments and yoga classes.
