Hospitable 10-room hotel in a handsome 1896 Belle Epoque mansion surrounded by an immaculately landscaped four-acre park, within walking distance of the historic center of Saumur. Individually decorated rooms feature fabric-lined walls, wood paneling and period furniture. Prestige Suites, some with park views, have high ceilings and are elegantly furnished with desks, love seats, large armoires and oil paintings. Baths are serviceable, with cast-iron claw-foot tubs, although small and not especially luxurious. Beautiful lounge in which charming owners serve a glass of sparkling Crémant de Loire in the early evening. Outdoor pool heated from May to September; small renovated spa with a hot tub.
