The latter have cream-colored walls, accents of leather and colored silk, woodburning fires, private terraces and gardens, and baths clad in stone tile. The main house is a study in contemporary elegance, with a spacious living room-library that leads out to a lovely terrace where seasonally inspired meals are taken. The food is superb, with different Lapostolle wines served with each course. The hotel can book morning yoga classes, horseback riding and biking tours, and excursions to nearby wineries and museums. The property is closed during the month of August and does not allow children under the age of 12.
