Overlooking a trout stream, this luxury tented camp of Dunton Hot Springs is located on Cresto Ranch, 4 miles south of the main property, in a tranquil expanse of meadow, forest and mountain. Eight 640-square-foot River and Mountain tents exhibit rugged good taste with pine-framed king beds, cowhide rugs and gas stoves. All meals are served in a restored 19th-century farmhouse, which includes a dining room, a guest salon and a wraparound deck. Amenities include the Riverside sauna, a spa tent and complimentary mountain bikes. Additionally, private yoga classes can be arranged. The resort’s engaging staff clearly take pride in their work. Fly-fishing and horseback riding excursions are also offered. The property is closed from November to June.
