This lavish wilderness camp is set on a 77,000-acre private concession in the heart of the Okavango Delta. Designed by renowned National Geographic filmmaker Dereck Joubert, the five tented rooms and two-bedroom suite feature private furnished verandas with plunge pools. Persian rugs, leather furnishings and tribal artifacts evoke a classic 1920s African safari style. The suite comes with a private game drive vehicle, a safari guide, a butler and a chef. Public areas include a wine cellar stocked with carefully selected bottles, an indoor-outdoor dining room and a deck with a central fireplace. Activities include early-morning and late-afternoon game drives and seasonal boating cruises. Children under the age of 6 are not permitted at the property.
The region around the camp has an unusually high concentration of lion.
Editor’s Choice: Tented Room, $5,800 (all meals, wines and spirits, return airstrip transfers, park fees and laundry included).
