Located in Meru National Park, this traditional lodge is named for the lioness featured in “Born Free.” (Joy and George Adamson lived nearby.) Lodgings spaced across a craggy hillside comprise six cottages, three Honeymoon Suites, a two-bedroom Family Cottage and the spacious two-bedroom Private House, with its own infinity pool. Excellent cuisine is served in an open-sided dining area covered with a thatched roof and decorated with Oriental rugs and tribal art. Stone-walled cottages provide exhilarating views, with some featuring outdoor tubs. Amenities include a horizon pool with a deck area. This property is less opulent than lavish South African lodges and is suitable for adventurous and experienced safari travelers.
