This grand resort hotel is set amid lush gardens at the tip of Giudecca Island. The 96 accommodations offer garden, pool or lagoon views and some have private balconies or terraces and marble baths. Junior Suites with views of the lagoon are particularly recommended. An additional 16 luxury suites are in the adjacent 15th-century Palazzo Vendramin. Dining and bar venues include Oro, an elegant terraced Michelin-starred restaurant, and Cip’s Club with its spectacular view of St. Mark’s Square. Other dining options include an informal alfresco poolside restaurant. Another drinking establishment, Gabbiano Bar, was created by Giuseppe Cipriani, who also owns the legendary Harry’s Bar. The hotel has Venice’s only Olympic-size swimming pool, plus a stylish spa with steam and sauna rooms, a fitness center (personal trainers available), a kids’ club, a private boat and a clay tennis court. The hotel is closed from mid-November through mid-March.
