Located on a tranquil wooded street in Austin’s South Congress district, this contemporary boutique hotel of 14 suites, Poolside Bungalows and studios is centered on a renovated 1880s Victorian house. The hotel’s namesake is the patron saint of music and poetry, and the property’s ethos is retro rock meets Southern charm. The hotel’s quirkily elegant accommodations may feature private terraces and gardens with outdoor showers, studies and fire pits. (Suites 1, 4 and 5 are recommended.) The kitchen serves breakfast, but an all-day light-fare menu is offered as well. Other amenities include a covered terrace, a 50-foot outdoor heated swimming pool, bicycles and a retail store with both travel necessities and craft gifts.
