This luxurious retreat was created from converted 16th- and 17th-century farmhouses in a striking mountain setting, just outside the historic art colony of Deià. All 72 guest rooms (one private villa) are furnished with handcarved beds, fine antiques, original paintings and tile floors. Atmospheric wood-beamed salons open onto panoramic terraces, and the grounds are elegantly populated with olive and citrus trees and tropical shrubs. Cafe Miro is recommended for lunch and dinner, while other dining options include an indoor-outdoor bistro for Mediterranean fare and a poolside café. Amenities include two freshwater swimming pools, two tennis courts, a gym and a sculpture garden and art gallery. The spa features an indoor pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. Complimentary two-hour boat excursions and shuttle service to a nearby pebbly beach is available as well. This property is an idyllic spot for those who want to explore the island’s interior and majestic coastline. The hotel is closed from mid-November to the end of March.
