Owned by two Buenos Aires architects, this boutique hotel with 11 individually decorated rooms is located in the heart of Salta’s historic center. Visually appealing accommodations, each named after a different historical or literary figure, have high ceilings and traditional furniture mixed with contemporary accents. Even Classic Rooms are relatively spacious, but opt for one of the junior suite-like Luxury Rooms that don’t face the sometimes noisy street. Public areas include chic library-lounges, a breakfast room and a spa treatment room. There is no restaurant on the property, but numerous atmospheric eateries are within walking distance. This hideaway is not a luxury hotel, but a stylish, idiosyncratic and very comfortable base for touring the area. Children under the age of 12 are not permitted.
