Enchanting 70-room hotel of nine chalets assembled from original timbers and pine paneling from old structures acquired throughout the French Alps, offering a beautiful fantasy of Alpine life. One smallish but comfortable Suite Rochebrune featured a coffered pine ceiling and walls covered in wood panels or thick woolen flannel. Beside the sheepskin-covered bed was a Louis XVI armchair and a cotton chamois footstool. The granite bath held a slate soaking tub and a separate shower. A sliding door led to a private terrace and garden. The hotel offers three restaurants, a comfortable bar with leather sofas, a relaxing library, a kids’ club and a spa with 17 treatment rooms, a hammam, indoor and outdoor Jacuzzis, a gym and an indoor pool.
