Set amid 8 acres of woods and gardens above Dry Creek Valley, this three-story Victorian manor house dates from 1881. A gracious interior features fine antique furniture. The 22 individually decorated accommodations are in five buildings spread throughout the estate, including the old carriage house and the school. Opt for one of the large bedrooms on the second floor of the main house, which have their own balconies and fireplaces but lack TVs. The Garden Cottage is the most secluded suite and offers a private deck and its own garden, while the two suites in the old schoolhouse boast Jacuzzi tubs and private decks. The main dining room, open Wednesday through Sunday, serves the New California cuisine of talented chef Jesse Mallgren. The property also has a pool (heated May through October).
