This unique and intimate hideaway, set in a meticulously restored historic building, features an abundance of character and a timeless atmosphere. Several half-timbered 12th-century houses that once belonged to the Knights Templar comprise an excellent restaurant (closed on Sunday and Monday nights) and 11 renovated lodgings. Showcasing huge oak beams, earthy walls, wooden staircases and original stone floors, guest accommodations offer a palpable aura of history, both of the medieval house itself and the atmospheric little-known city of Troyes. Be sure to request a room with views of the immaculately tended courtyard garden rather than the street. The property also encompasses a lounge housed in a semi-buried cellar, a whirlpool tub, an outdoor plunge pool in a second courtyard garden, a sauna and a spa cabin offering ayurvedic massages by reservation.

The restaurant is closed on Sunday and Monday nights; tables should be reserved when booking your room, because it is very popular with locals.
