This grand family-owned property was built in 1918 and is conveniently located on the Passeig de Gràcia near Gaudí’s iconic Casa Batlló. Renovated in 2013, the hotel incorporates modern conveniences with Old World elegance including marble staircases and period furniture. Many of the 275 guest accommodations feature bay windows, balconies, textured wallpaper and soothing color palettes of brown, beige and white. Restaurant options include the intimate Solc, which features Catalan-inspired cuisine executed with local ingredients and vegetables from the establishment’s garden. Another option is the contemporary rooftop restaurant La Dolce Vitae, which serves excellent tapas and is flanked by a swimming pool. In addition, the hotel offers a superlative breakfast buffet. Other amenities include a sophisticated spa and well-equipped fitness center. Private yoga sessions, sailing excursions and wine tastings can also be arranged by the concierge.

Excellent location; gracious atmosphere; outstanding personal service.
As good as it is, the breakfast buffet is very expensive.
The Majestic offers an array of unique guided experiences that will take you off the beaten track. Among them is a visit to Barcelona’s fish market with a marine biologist, followed by tapas and then dinner of a fish that was purchased that afternoon. Another includes a sailboat tour of the harbor.
