These comfortable lodges are set on a 125-square-mile private reserve adjoining Etosha National Park, which is famous for predators, plus desert-adapted antelope. Ongava Lodge affords dramatic views across the plains and a floodlit waterhole and comprises a sizable pool, a dining room, a bar and 14 air-conditioned chalets with glass doors that lead onto covered verandas. Little Ongava, favored by families or friends traveling together, is a separate lodge of just three luxurious suites, each with a private plunge pool, a large sitting room with a fireplace and an outdoor sala. Both properties offer guests dedicated guides. Children under age 6 are not permitted at Ongava Lodge.
