One hour southeast of Burlington, this country inn is set beside a rushing stream in Warren, a quaint village near Sugarbush. The 11 distinctive accommodations, including two two-bedroom suites, are decorated to reflect various aspects of Vermont, most featuring antiques and woodburning fireplaces. Ski, Lodge, Mountain and Trout rooms are especially charming. Public areas include a cozy library, a game room, a creekside lounge, Tracks tavern for classic pub fare and a first-rate restaurant serving locally sourced farm-to-table cuisine backed by a well-stocked wine cellar. Both restaurants are closed Mondays and Tuesdays. Hiking, biking, canoeing, trout fishing and golf are all available. In winter, skiing, ice skating and sleigh rides provide the chief recreational opportunities.
