This Tuscan-style guesthouse of just two luxury suites is housed in a former wine cellar and is part of the remarkable Vistalba wine complex south of Mendoza. Developed by renowned winemaker Carlos Pulenta, the property includes an extensive winery and a wine bar that serves breakfast and lunch. Elegant accommodations feature beds with leather headboards, wicker furniture and floor-to-ceiling windows. Both suites are augmented by furnished terraces, and the one facing west affords a stunning view of the Andes. An extremely enjoyable private tour of the vineyards and wine cellar with the winery’s enologist is offered, but otherwise there are no organized activities for guests. The property is closed on Sunday and Monday.
The estate also makes an excellent olive oil, produced the same day that the olives are harvested.
Editor’s Choice: Double Room for two, $1,700 (breakfast and winery tour and tasting included).
