This legendary hotel in the Place Vendôme underwent a four-year, $450 million renovation overseen by Thierry W. Despont. A quintessentially French interior blends rare woods, gilt moldings, sumptuous fabrics, Carrara marble, Louis XV furniture and objets d’art. The 142 rooms overlook gardens or the Rue Cambon. Suites on upper floors — including Prestige Suites named for the likes of Chopin, Proust and Coco Chanel — provide panoramic views of Paris landmarks. Chef Nicolas Sale's romantic La Table de L’Espadon restaurant, featuring a spectacular trompe l’oeil ceiling, was recently awarded two Michelin stars. The property also encompasses the Bar Vendôme, which is set on a charming patio with a retractable glass roof; the renowned oak-paneled Bar Hemingway; the recently refurbished art deco-style Ritz Bar; and a tea salon inspired by Marcel Proust. Amenities include the Ritz Escoffier cooking school, a 17,000-square-foot-long garden and a wellness club comprising an indoor pool, gym and the world’s first Chanel Spa.
