The retreat is centered on a huge infinity pool (no children under age 16 Friday through Sunday) and a chic spa featuring a 75-foot outdoor lap pool and an array of Asian-inspired treatments. Many of the 116 lodgings have marvelous views of the desert valley landscape. (Mountain Casitas 255 through 262, near the top of the resort’s hillside, offer the most-attractive outlooks.) Spa Suites include panoramic patios with outdoor soaking tubs and roomy living areas. Seven villas offer amenities that may include a movement studio with fitness equipment, a spa treatment room, a lawn with fire bowls and a kitchen. The fine restaurant, elements, is overseen by chef Beau MacMillan and is complemented by a picturesque indoor-outdoor bar. Tennis courts, two family-friendly pools, hiking trails and nearby golf courses are also available.
Except during major holidays, the infinity edge pool is exclusively for guests 16 years or older on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. The resort provides two satellite pools on the property as an alternative for guests traveling with family members 15 years and younger.
