Set on the National Historic Landmark site of an early-20th-century meatpacking and refrigeration plant, this property is located near thriving Puerto Natales. Cleverly using the viable structures, the hotel has saved much of the industrial equipment. Nineteen-foot-wide glass walls with compelling views of the sea and distant snowy peaks are the most striking feature of the 57 rooms. Decorated in shades of gray and tan, the comfortable lodgings are appointed with traditional furniture and feature large dressing rooms that lead to equally spacious baths with heated floors. Dining options include an atmospheric restaurant serving regional specialties and El Asador for grilled meats. There is also an on-site spa comprising an indoor-outdoor heated L-shaped pool. The hotel is closed annually from May to October.
