This intimate and graciously run bed-and-breakfast in a restored 1834 Federal-style townhouse, currently the residence of the engaging antiques dealer Dr. Albert Wall, is located at the western edge of Savannah’s historic district. Common areas are graciously appointed with magnificent antique furnishings and objets d’art. Of the six guest accommodations, the Stephen Williams Suite is the most desirable. Its parlor provides a sofa, writing desk and table, and the bedroom is furnished with an antique queen four-poster bed, period chests, rich fabrics and a love seat. Although the atmosphere transports guests back more than 150 years, expected modern conveniences have not been forgotten. A lavish Southern breakfast is served whenever guests prefer at a long table dating from 1810; a peaceful walled garden provides an ideal place to relax.
