This distinctive 18-room lodge set on a 58-acre estate overlooks the unspoiled Loch Torridon and spectacular coast of Wester Ross. Built as a hunting lodge in 1887, the turreted baronial red-sandstone structure is surrounded by a dramatic mountain landscape. Public areas of the lodge have high ceilings, blazing fires and paneled walls. Though some of the lodgings are decorated in a contemporary style, with bold patterns and colors, the traditional rooms seem more in keeping with the essential character of the hotel. The dining room provides an agreeable setting for outstanding fare that primarily employs ingredients sourced from The Torridon Farm, and the atmospheric wood-paneled bar contains a collection of more than 350 single-malt whiskies.
