This fishing and eco-adventure hideaway is located within a 2,500-acre wilderness reserve laced with spring-fed streams and nature trails. The 13 guest accommodations include the Pheasant Cottage for a group of eight people, four family-friendly rooms in the main lodge and eight more-secluded, extra-spacious villas that feature separate living rooms with fireplaces, spa baths and kitchenettes. Breakfast and lunch are served in a brightly lit conservatory, and a formal dining room serves fine New Zealand dishes. The property also encompasses a spa with private hot tubs and a meditation platform, seven private trout streams and four lakes for fly-fishing, wilderness 4WD and heli-fishing excursions. Guided hikes, cooking classes and horseback riding excursions can also be arranged.
