Set in woodlands, this family-owned hideaway sits above the majestic Rogue River. A cedar-planked main lodge houses an atmospheric beamed lounge with a massive river-rock fireplace, a cozy bar and two suites. From May through October, the dining room serves fresh regional specialties such as oysters, mesquite-grilled salmon and sturgeon, complemented by an excellent wine list. An adjacent two-story annex contains 20 charming guest quarters, most with private decks overlooking the river. For the most space, request the Chinook Suite or the Steelhead Suite, both augmented by woodburning fireplaces and soaking tubs on scenic patios. Amenities include a heated outdoor lap pool, plus boat trips and fishing excursions. Private guides can be arranged for steelhead and chinook salmon fishing in the spring or fall. Children under the age of 10 are not permitted at the resort between the months of May and October.
