Set within the splendid Zambezi National Park, this five-villa property, affiliated with the larger Victoria Falls River Lodge, operates as its own self-contained resort on a private island. Elevated boardwalks lead to wood-paneled treehouses, which have air-conditioning in the bedrooms but not baths, and plunge pools on wide terraces. Avoid treehouses 1 and 2, which have views compromised by vegetation. An elevated cocktail bar has sweeping Zambezi views, as does the stylish open-air lounge shaded by a reed canopy and numerous mature tropical trees, where sophisticated cuisine is served. The only reason to visit the mainland property is to use its spa or to depart on game drives. Service is highly attentive and friendly.
