This gracious hideaway with 38 suites in turn-of-the-century buildings connected by a series of loggias and patios is a 15-minute walk from the center of Guanajuato. The décor throughout the hotel features ornate plaster molding, butter-hued walls and traditional wood furnishings upholstered in olive and cream. The recommended guest lodgings in a newer annex face a large outdoor pool. All Master Suites have panoramic terraces or balconies that overlook the pool and the mountain beyond. The pretty jewel box of a restaurant serves delicious contemporary Mexican cuisine. Other amenities include two cocktail bars, a roof terrace with a pool, a small movie theater, a separate plunge pool and a chic spa with an indoor Roman-style pool, steam baths and saunas.
