Backed by massive granite outcrops and facing a landscape of arid plains, this unique safari camp is 30 miles south of the main Wolwedans complex. Five tented lodgings contain four-poster beds with draped mosquito nets and small dressing tables, but lack A/C and power outlets. The tents’ baths are separate but on the same deck. The atmospheric dining and lounge tent is furnished in a traditional style with carved furniture, polished wooden floors, leather sofas, book-lined shelves and bright rugs. There is also a breakfast deck, a library and an unheated plunge pool. Activities offered by the hotel include guided two- to three-hour walking safaris and scenic drives, hot air ballooning and horseback riding.

Lackluster game-viewing — this is primarily a place for hiking and riding.
With room for a maximum of 10 guests, this camp would be ideal for a private group or multigenerational family vacation.
