Seasoned French hotelier Agnès Guiot du Doignon, who previously owned a hotel in Biarritz, created this 12-room hotel in a handsome 19th-century townhouse right in the heart of Bordeaux. It has become popular by offering a variety of amenities rarely found in hotels of this size in France, including 24-hour room service and air-conditioning. A great choice for people who like contemporary design, since guest rooms come with furniture and sofas from Edra and are accessorized with attractive Louis Poulsen lamps and modern Murano glass chandeliers by Vistosi. The best of the dozen rooms are the three “So Chic Suites,” which include spacious white-marble baths, showers and separate tubs and king-size beds. Service is charming.
