Day 1 : Mexico City

Day 3 : San Miguel de Allende Colonial Highland Heritage

After breakfast, you will depart Mexico City for the colonial gem of San Miguel de Allende. En route, stop to visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Querétaro, a gorgeous blend of the indigenous and Spanish Colonial-era cultural influences you encounter throughout this region. Day 4 : San Miguel Market

Experience the colorful San Miguel Market with a chef as your guide. He will tell you all about the wonderful ingredients that make Mexican cuisine so special. Get pointers for selecting the best of the crop and bring unfamiliar items back to the kitchen. Your market items then become the ingredients for making delicious salsas and salads, served with handmade tortillas. Afterwards, enjoy lunch and a guided city tour in the afternoon.

Day 5 : Arrival in Guanajuato

After breakfast, you will transfer to the little-known colonial mining center of Mineral de Pozos. Once known throughout colonial Mexico for its opulence and its thriving mining industry, the settlement has been a virtual ghost town for almost a century and is now experiencing a resurgence of interest on the part of visitors looking for a unique experience with authentic Mexico.

Day 6 : Guanajuato

You will meet your expert guide in the hotel lobby for an orientation of Guanajuato's fascinating city center and then hit the streets for a taste of the vibrant cultural center. Guanajuato’s history is as rich as its mines were full of silver during the colonial era. Enjoy a walking tour of the historic landmarks of the city center and use the morning to orient yourself to the winding streets and subterranean passages that are home to colorful and fascinating architecture.
