Arts and Crafts: Artisans Festivals

Drawn by the light, the landscape and its (out-of-season) tranquility, numerous artists and craftspeople have made the Vineyard their home. There is no shortage of galleries on the island, but I have made some of my happiest purchases at The Vineyard Artisans Festivals at the Grange Hall in West Tisbury. There, on Thursdays and Sundays starting at 10 a.m., both the hall and the surrounding area abound with artists selling an array of prints, paintings, sculpture, ceramics, glass, furniture, quilts and more. I am particularly fond of the block prints of Daniel Waters, two of which we have prominently displayed at home.
