Gallery: Botswana and South Africa

Some remarkable travel photographs from Hideaway Report readers Nick Shiren and Eric Rowe, who recently visited Jack's Camp in Botswana and Tswalu Kalahari in South Africa. In their words: "The sunsets, the never-ending horizons and the hues of the Kalahari made our trip to Tswalu one not to forget. However, the highlight of our trip to Tswalu was a pangolin sighting. We had spent the evening dining under the desert stars and arrived back to our luxury Motse suite when our excited guide knocked on our door to eagerly beckon us back onto the four-wheel drive for a dash to the pangolin — a rare sighting even for the more seasoned safari-goer! The thing that struck us most about Jack's Camp was the feeling of isolated luxury.  We were quick to get into the routine of early-morning private safaris with our knowledgeable guide, Chubba, followed by delicious breakfast. Afternoons were spent relaxing by the pool — a respite from the over 100 degree heat — followed by evening safari and gourmet dinner over discussions with our fellow campers about the sightings of the day."
